Logistics & Access

Connected to National and International Markets

Kokemäki benefits from established transport connections that support efficient industrial logistics and international supply chains.

Its location in western Finland enables reliable access to ports, highways, rail networks, and regional airports, supporting both domestic and export-oriented operations.

Port Access

Kokemäki is located within approximately 37 miles (60 kilometers) of two major ports: the Port of Rauma and the Port of Pori.

Both ports serve international cargo traffic and offer deep-water terminals with depths ranging from 25 to 50 feet (7.5 to 15.3 metres), including Finland’s deepest shipping channel at Tahkoluoto. Extensive operator networks support bulk cargo, bagged goods, and storage services.

Rail connections to port areas are available, enabling efficient multimodal transport solutions.

Road Access

The main industrial areas are located directly next to Highway VT2, providing fast and direct access to Finland’s national road network.

Low congestion levels and well-maintained infrastructure enable predictable transport times for freight and commuter traffic, supporting schedule-sensitive operations and just-in-time logistics.

Rail Access

Kokemäki offers close access to rail infrastructure supporting both passenger and freight transport.

The passenger station is located approximately 0.9 miles (1.5 kilometers) from the industrial area, while the freight loading area is located around 0.5 miles (800 meters away). The rail network is managed by the national transport authority, and private spur track solutions have been evaluated for industrial users.

This enables efficient integration of rail freight into industrial logistics chains.

Airport Access

Pori Airport is located approximately 30 minutes from Kokemäki and provides regional air connections for business travel and light cargo.

The airport supports fast access for executives, suppliers, and service partners, facilitating international coordination, site visits, and project management.
